Ernest Gatto, 75, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Lombardi) Gatto. Loving father of Lisa & her husband Joseph Kosinski. Cherished grandfather of Andrew & Zachary. Dear brother of Jean & her husband James Roth and Kenneth & his wife Mary Gatto. He will also be missed by many nieces & nephews. Mr. Gatto was a veteran of the US Air Force serving as a Military Police Officer from 1964-1970. He worked in Operations for Mercedes Benz for several years prior to his retirement. Funeral Thursday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass Thursday 10AM Sacred Heart Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Wednesday 4 - 7PM. Donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
