Ernestine I. Woelpper

Woelpper, Ernestine "Erna" (nee Graham) age 76, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2007. Mrs. Woelpper was born and raised in Jersey City. She graduated "Most Popular" in her class from Ferris High School where she met and eventually married Albert E. Woelpper on July 20, 1951. Erna and Al moved from Jersey City in 1960 and raised their family in Lyndhurst until Al passed away in March of 1980. In 1988, through mutual friends, Erna was introduced to Frank Lukenda. A bond was formed and they shared a life together from 1989 to 2007 in Manalapan. Erna is survived by her longtime companion Frank Lukenda and sons Richard and his wife Patricia, Robert and his wife Kimberly, daughter Joan Hammond and her finance David Streuble and her 8 grandchildren, Keri Woelpper, Craig Woelpper, Richie Hammond, Kaitlyn Woelpper, Andrew Hammond, Meghan Woelpper, Daniell Hammond and Jillian Woelpper. She will be missed. The funeral will be on Wednesday at 10am at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday 3-5 & 7-9pm with a Funeral Service being held at 8pm. Donations may be made to Centra State Hospital, West Main St., Freehold NJ 07728.
