Ettore Minichetti

Ettore Dante Minichetti, age 92, of Kinnelon, NJ, passed on January 20, 2018. The cause of his death was pneumonia.

Born in Casalbordino, Italy on October 14, 1925, the son of immigrants came to the United States at age 10 and worked as a Silk Die Operator in Paterson. Veteran of the Navy, he joined the United States Military Service at age 18 served as a 1st Class Petty Officer and aviation machinist for 3 years. Stationed in Pearl Harbor from 1943-1946 in the Carrier Aircraft Service Unit, he returned to Paterson as an auto body mechanic for over 20 years. While continuing his education at nights, he received his certificate in Refrigeration Engineering and worked at William Paterson University for over 25 years as Chief Engineer of Heating and Refrigeration.

A gentle, caring man, loved by all, he is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Maria Michelina Minichetti,his brother Romeo, his 3 children, Concetta, John and Anthony, his 9 grandchildren, Lauren Torres, Nina Clifford, Alyssa and Cara Minichetti, Matthew and Julia Fritz, and Max, Dante and Madeline Minichetti and his great granddaughter Sofia Torres.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday January 22, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. at Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ 07004. Funeral Services will be held at St. Thomas More Church, 12 Hollywood Avenue, Fairfield , NJ on Tuesday , January 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. Reception lunch to follow.
