Evelyn M. Flynn

Evelyn M. Flynn, 81, of North Arlington, NJ on Monday, July 26, 2010 after a long illness. Devoted daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Kate (nee Sheedy) McDonough. Beloved wife of Joseph E. Flynn. Loving mother of Kathleen Flynn. Dear sister of John, Charles (Buddy) and the late Joseph McDonough, and sister-in-law of Carol McDonough. Born and raised in Jersey City, Mrs. Flynn attended St. Michael's Grammar School and Ferris High School. She moved to North Arlington in 1964. She was former Chaplain and Membership Chairperson of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 4697. She leaves behind many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Funeral services were private under the direction of Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Oh Evie, Oh Evie, were you not the glue, that held us all together as only you could do. You said your last goodbye to join the Angels choir, to a place of everlasting peace to which we all aspire. Now Heaven is a brighter place, but here on earth there are tears, still we thank the Lord for having you and your love for all these years. God Bless.
