Felice "Danny" Salerno

Felice "Danny" Salerno, 93, of Manchester, New Jersey formerly of Lyndhurst, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Marion Salerno (nee Scribellito) whom he was married to for 47 years. Loving father of Donna Matarazzo & her husband Philip. Adored Poppy of Nicholas & Daniel Matarazzo. Dear brother of the late Fred, John, Angela, and Regina. Cherished brother-in-law of Steve Scribellito & his wife Patricia. Dear friend of the late Ida Dima. Danny was born in Jersey City and moved to Lyndhurst in 1958 where he resided until 1992 before moving to Leisure Knoll, Manchester. He was an Army Veteran who served during World War II, and he worked for United Die Co., Kearny, for 48 years. Danny was a member of the Italian American Club and a parishioner of St. John's Church in Lakehurst. He was well known around town for his unique license plate "MR FUN." Funeral Monday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Sunday 2-6PM. Donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, PO Box 5028, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5028.
