Filomena Curcio

Curcio, Filomena (nee Santangelo), 82, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gorga, Salerno, Italy to Giuseppe and Elisabetta Santangelo and came to the United States in 1970. Filomena resided in Jersey City, NJ before moving to Toms River in 1993. She worked in a sweater factory for 16 years before retiring in 1986. She celebrated life, love and focused on her family. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking, singing and dancing. Beloved wife of 62 years to Gennaro Curcio. Devoted and loving mother of Maria Curcio, Lisa Tomba, Adrianna Infante & Joseph Curcio. Dear grandmother of Susan, Anthony, Jerry, Christina, Filomena, Marianna, Filomena, Alessandra, Jessica, Ashley & Antonio. Proud great-grandmother of Julianna, Philip, Stefanie, Sophia, Nicholas, Domenick, A.J., Giulia & Isabella. Funeral Wednesday at 10AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Mass 11AM at Queen of Peace R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Tuesday 4-8PM.
