Filomena Tornusciolo

Filomena Tornusciolo (nee Varrichio), age 98, of Woodridge, NJ died on September 4, 2006 at home. Born in Italy, she lived in Long Branch before moving to Woodridge 20 years ago. Filomena was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph. She was the beloved mother of Maria Rosati, Rosina Altieri, Elena DeVito, Anna Insana, Thomas Tornusciolo and Lidia Aversa and mother-in-law of Orazio Altieri, Mario DeVito, Mary Grace Tornusciolo, Patsy Aversa and the late Aldo Rosati and the late Mario Insana. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:30 am from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home 425 Ridge Rd., Lyndhurst with a 9:30 am Mass at Assumption of Our Blessed Lady RC Church in Woodridge. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington. Friends will be received Tuesday 7-9pm and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm.
