Francesco Spinelli

Spinelli, Francesco, 87, of Lyndhurst, NJ passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015. Beloved husband for 51 years of Agnese (nee Costa) Spinelli. Loving father of Cecilia & her husband John-David Giessmann of Leesburg, VA and Peter & his wife Lisa Spinelli of Marlboro, NJ. Cherished grandfather of James, Giana, Frank, Emily & Rachael. Dear brother of Maria & her husband Michele DiBiasi, Angelo & his wife Anna Maria Spinelli, and Giuseppe & his wife Antonietta Spinelli, all from Italy. Mr. Spinelli was a truck driver in Italy before immigrating to the United States in 1965. He served in the Italian Army for 1 year. Francesco was a chemical operator for Ashland in Kearny for 25 years before retiring in 1992. In his free time he enjoyed gardening, wine making, playing Scopa and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Masouleum. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
