Frank D'Antonio, 91, of Fairfield, NJ on Sunday, March 4, 2012. Beloved husband of Florence (nee Cilento). Loving father of Dr. Joseph & wife Patricia, Peter & wife Sophon, Francis & wife Theresa, Michael & wife Geraldine, Thomas, and Mary Jane Bruni & husband Luciano. Loving son of the late Pasquale & Elvira (nee Spina) D'Antonio. Cherished grandfather of 10. Dear brother of Connie Bochiccio, Joy Debler, Lucy Sauter, Gloria Tinucci, Barbara Ford, Louis and the late Vincent & Emilio D'Antonio. Mr. D'Antonio served in the US Army from 1942-1945 in the 77th Infantry Division, which was credited with the capture of the islands in the Pacific during World War II. He was a decorated soldier with citations that included the Bronze Star Medal and the Purple Heart. He was a Supervisor at the Department of Social Services in New York City for 34 years before retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Fairfield Knights of Columbus, the 55 Plus Club of St. Thomas More Church, and was a CCD teacher. Funeral Monday at 10 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 11 AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Entombment Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Sunday 3-7 PM. Donations may be made to St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 210 Horseneck Road, Fairfield NJ 07004.
