Frank Theodore Benda, 96, of Staten Island, New York, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Beloved husband of 74 years to Valentina Benda (nee Shlyk). Loving father of Mark & his wife Carol Lynn Benda and the late Marianne Benda. Dear brother of Sonya and the late Ann, Michael, Olga, John and Ben. Cherished grandfather of Mark & his wife Victoria, Craig & his wife Holly and Lara. Adored great-grandfather of Valentina & Chloe. Also survived by his adopted son Bob Thomson. Mr. Benda was a Foreman for Lawler Manufacturing in Bayonne. He was a member of the American Legion 5 Star Post in Staten Island, past president of Ss. Peter & Paul Church, a member of the Carpathian Club and a member of the Graniteville Civic Association. Funeral Wednesday 9AM from the Koch Funeral Home, 691 Avenue C, Bayonne. Funeral Service 10AM Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church. Interment St. Vladimir Cemetery, Jackson. Friends will be received Tuesday 4-8PM, parastas at 7PM.
