Frederick J. Kohli

Kohli, Frederick J., 84, of Lyndhurst, NJ on Saturday, January 29, 2011. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Stahlin) Kohli for 59 years. Loving father of Patricia Anderson of Lincroft, Lynn & her husband John Rogers of Andover, Denise & her husband Tom Powers of Beachwood, and Tom & his wife Peg Kohli of Woodcliff Lakes. Cherished grandfather of Kevin & Brian Rogers, Elizabeth, Daniel, & Anna Kohli, Thomas Powers, and Steven Anderson. Dear brother of Joseph Kohli of Manahawkin, Theresa Sabo of Ludowici, GA, and eight late brothers & sisters. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Mr. Kohli was born in Jersey City. After graduating from Dickinson High School he entered the Army and served with the 528th Field Artillery Battalion during World War II. Fred spent his career in the steel industry and was employed by AR Purdy, Nation Steel Corporation, and Blue Blade Corporation before retiring. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Lyndhurst and was a member of the Sacred Heart Seniors, Mount Carmel Seniors, and AARP #4866. Fred was a genuinely nice man who always had a kind word to say about everyone. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Funeral Tuesday at 9:30AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Mass 10:30AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Cremation Private.
