George Hudak, age 91, passed away peacefully at Bayonne Medical Center on Saturday, January 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. After being discharged from the service, he worked at Western Electric, Kearny, followed by many years of service at Exxon Mobil before retiring. His family meant everything to him and he lived life showing that every day, never shy to tell them he loved them. He was happiest to share his favorite past times: swimming, crabbing, bowling, bike riding, repairing, building, and problem solving at the workbench while humming a tune. George was so friendly and outgoing he would strike up a conversation with anyone and shared his good-hearted spirit with others, always willing to lend a hand. He loved to make people smile and the memories he has left behind are already doing that. Nothing written here will ever be able to truly capture what a good person he was or how much he is loved and missed. He was predeceased by his parents John and Anna Hudak (Korba), his brothers John and Joseph, infant son George Richard and grandson Michael John. He was a devoted husband to Anna Hudak (Mihalcin) for 69 years. He was the loving father of John "Jack" (Carol), Marilyn Perseghin and Robert (JoAnne). He was the caring grandfather of Allison Mastrogiacomo (Mike), Nicholas Perseghin, Andrew Perseghin (Kaitlin), Justine Hudak, Laura Hoefel (Andrew), Corina Hudak and a great-grandfather of Brody, Emma, Olivia and Mason. He was the loving brother of Margaret Zepko and husband Joseph. Brother-in-law of Mary Smith and husband Calvin. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Wednesday at 9AM from the Caiola-Stellato Funeral Home, 691 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ . Funeral Mass 10AM St. John Paul II R.C. Church 39 East 22nd St., Bayonne. Interment to follow Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Hospice Program or Charity of your choice.
