Georgette Pierce

Georgette Josephine Emma DeWynants Gathman Pierce of Fairfield passed away peacefully on the evening of February 9, 2023. Georgette was born in Tienen, Belgium on March 31, 1925, to Julia and Edgard DeWynants. She was just a young woman when she experienced the Nazi occupation of her country and hometown. After the war she came to the United States where she lived in Hawthorne, NJ and later moved to Fairfield, NJ where she lived and raised her family. She married Albert Wesley Pierce in 1957 and was married for thirty four years until his passing in 1991. She is survived by her children Glen, Michele, Wayne, Frederick, 9 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Friends will be received Wednesday 11AM-1PM at the Ippolito- Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Fairfield.
