Giuseppe Mauriello, Md

Dr. Giuseppe Mauriello, 92, of Weehawken, passed away on June 15, 2015. He was born in Sant'Andrea di Conza (Italy), the only son of the late Marco & Maddalena Mauriello. He earned his medical degree at the University of Naples, Italy, and served as a Medical Corps Officer in the Italian military. He completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology at Jersey City Medical Center and Martland Medical Center in Newark (now known as UMDNJ). Dr. Mauriello was a member of the Greenville Hospital Anesthesiology Department in Jersey City for 20 years and a staff physician for over 20 years at the Meadowlands Sports Complex until 2007. A well respected and skilled anesthesiologist, he practiced medicine for 59 years and was honored by the Hudson County and NJ Medical Societies. Dr. Mauriello was known for his loyalty to his colleagues, friends and family. Known to give the shirt off his back to help others, his signature look was a sharp suit and tie from his extensive collection. Devoted and beloved husband of the late Letizia Mauriello (nee Casamassima), they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. Dedicated father of Magdalen, Mark, Joseph, Robert, Letizia Mauriello-Ioviero and Anthony Mauriello. Loving grandfather of Mark, Chiara, Joseph, Letizia, Ava, Anthony, Lucia, Beatrice, Marcello, Letizia & Giovanna. Dear brother of Lucia Mauriello, the late Graziella D'Angola and the late Assunta Mauriello. Funeral Mass Monday 11 AM Madonna Church on the Hill. Entombment Madonna Mausoleum. Friends will be received Sunday 2-5 PM at Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee.
