Gloria Meyer

Gloria Meyer (nee Nitti), 94, of Edgewater, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 with her family at her side. Predeceased by her parents, Jenny & John Nitti, her brother Achilles (Sonny) Nitti and her sister Dolores Savage. Beloved wife of the late William Meyer. Loving mother of Marilyn Hayward & her husband Lee and the late Salvatore Parrinello. Cherished grandmother of Brandon Hayward, Matthew Hayward and his wife Theresa. Also survived by her sister-in law Anna Nitti and many loving nieces and nephews. Gloria was born in Brooklyn and was a long time resident of Fort Lee before residing in Edgewater for the last 40 years. She will be remembered as a wonderful, caring mother and grandmother who was happiest when spending time with her family and her cherished dog, Rocky. Many thanks to her caregivers at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh and VNS of Englewood Hospice during her final months. Funeral Wednesday at 10AM from the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee. Funeral Mass 11AM Madonna Church on the Hill. Cremation private. Friends will be received Tuesday 4-8PM.
