Grady Lee Finn, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on October 27, 2024, after a brief illness. Born on June 15, 1936, in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Howard and Ollie Finn. 

He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters Barbara (Donald) Moses of Statham, GA and Patricia Finn of Athens, GA. Two sisters Mary (Johnny) Helms of Louisville, AL and Bobbie J Griffin of Midland City, AL. Two devoted nieces Tawina (Sidney) Kennedy of Ozark, AL and Lakasha Griffin of Midland City, AL. His grandchildren Melissa Finn and Louis Coleman of GA. He was preceded in death by his brother Eddie Finn, his daughter Sharon Finn, and his three grandchildren Nicky Finn, Miguel Finn, and Anthony Finn. Grady leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember him fondly.

Grady’s journey lead him from Alabama to the vibrant streets of New York 71 years ago and to Palisades Park, NJ 45 years ago. He was employed by the Palisades Park Board of Education. He worked as a janitor/maintenance man at the high school for over 23 years. He lived a life marked by a strong work ethic and a generous spirit. Grady was an icon to his community his warm and friendly demeanor was just a small part of the true gentleman he was. His pride and respect for his job and the people he served never went unrecognized. His legacy and his memory will remain in the hearts of many. May your gentle soul rest in peace.

A celebration of Grady’s life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 9am at the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Ave, Fort Lee. Interment Crest Haven Memorial Park.
