November 6, 1945 — June 27, 2015

Harry Stephanou, 69, of Bayonne, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Beloved husband of Eva Stephanou (nee Panayiotou). Loving father of Suzanne & her husband Billy Doering, Lisa & her husband Kenny D'Angelico and Steven & his wife Maria Stephanou. Dear brother of Andrea & her husband Tony Elia and Anna & her husband Andreas Panayiotou. Cherished grandfather of Anthony D'Angelico, William Doering and Angela Stephanou. Also survived by many nieces & nephews and many cousins here in the US and in Cyprus. Harry was loved by all. Before coming to the United States, he lived in Cyprus with his parents and two sisters. He was an altar boy for his church in Cyprus. Here in the US, he was an altar boy for Evangelismos Church and a Greek school student. He was also in the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. He played baseball and loved to collect stamps and coins. Later on he served his church as Vice President for four years and President for another four years. Harry was the proprietor of P&H Contractors. He was a loving husband and father, and loved his grandchildren especially. All three were his pride and joy. We will all miss this kind, loving, generous, husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Funeral Thursday 9 AM from the George J. Koch Funeral Home, 691 Avenue C, Bayonne. Funeral Service 10 AM at the Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church, 661 Montgomery Street, Jersey City. Interment to follow Arlington Cemetery, Kearny. Friends will be received Wednesday 6-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church (Kitchen Fund), 661 Montgomery Street, Jersey City NJ 07306.
