Hellmuth C Rudolph

Rudolph, Hellmuth C., of Fairfield, NJ on June 28, 2004. Loving brother of Eleanor Meyers and Werner Rudolph. Dear Uncle of 5 nieces and 4 nephews. Also surviving are many grand nieces and nephews. Mr. Rudolph had resided in Fairfield since 1924. He graduated Newark College of Engineering in 1937 with a BS degree in Chemical Engineering. In 1940 he founded O.C. Rudolph & Sons (became Rudolph Research in 1967). Mr. Rudolph devolped the Recording Spectro Polarimeter which was used to develop the birth control pill and which is still used in the chemical research analysis of DNA.
He was a former Sunday School teacher at the Fairfield Reformed Church. Funeral Thursday 9:30 AM at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ. Interment Fairfield Reformed Church Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service Wednesday evening 7:30 PM.
