Irmgard Lukmann

June 21, 1922 — February 11, 2017

Irmgard Lukmann (nee Kinast), was born in Berlin, Germany June 21, 1922 and passed away in Punta Gorda, Florida on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Irmgard worked as a Program Director and Project Consultant for the Bronx Historical Society of New York overseeing both the Valentine-Varian House and Poe Cottage. She received her Master's degree in German Literature from the Graduate Center of New York before moving permanently to Punta Gorda. She is survived by her five children, Sylvia Martin, Thomas Lukmann, Ines Tannberg, Dr. Karin Galliano, Erik Lukmann, and her 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass 9:30AM Friday at St. Cecilia's Church, Englewood. Interment Kensico Cemetery, New York, where she will be joined with her long deceased husband Verner Lukmann. Arrangements under the direction of Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee.
