Ivette Henao

Ivette de los Angeles Letourneaut Henao, 62, of Vernon, NJ, lost her battle with COVID-19 on December 22, 2021. She was born on November 30, 1959 in Havana, Cuba to her parents preceded in death, Manuel de Jesus Letourneaut and Iris Cordero. Ivette resided in West New York, NJ and graduated from Memorial High School in 1978. She attended some college and worked for an accounting firm. She later moved to Vernon, NJ with her husband, Carlos. She loved to garden, crochet stuffed animals, and play video games with her grandchildren. She had a deep love for animals, including her cat Miko.

She is survived by her husband, Carlos Henao, as well as her children: son John Christian Kraus and his wife, Viviana Kraus, daughter Angela Meneses and her husband, Michael Meneses, daughter Alexandra Santos, son Gabriel Santos and his fianc Karina Osorio, and like her own, Lori Vega, and Jose Espinel and his wife Jessica Espinel. She is survived by her 24 grandchildren: Victoria Meneses, John David Kraus, Christopher Kraus, Estreya Tirado, Amelia Meneses, Amber Kraus, Aydin Tirado, Olivia Meneses, Gabriel Santos, Lana Santos, Kevin Santos, Azrael Freeman, Karina Kraus, Arius Freeman, Michael Meneses, Mannix Freeman, Julia Meneses, and like her own Samary, Nina, Emily, Victoria, Joseph, Luis, and Valentina Espinel. Ivette is also survived by her brother and sisters: brother, Jean Letourneaut; sisters: Ilem SanMartin, Ivonne Medina, Jacqueline Letourneaut, Joyce Cabrera, and Jeanette Salib; and all of her nieces and nephews.

All who knew Ivette also knew of her love for her extra large blended family, but even bigger, her love for God. Ivette would always say, "Leave it up to God".

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 4 -8 P.M. at Hunt Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Ave, Fort Lee, NJ. A Community Mass will be offered on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10am at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 6502 Jackson St, West New York, NJ.
