James A Hunt

Hunt, James A., Sr., 74, of Brick, NJ (formerly of Fort Lee), on November 17, 2008. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Tessaro) Hunt. Devoted father of James Hunt, Jr. (FLPD) and his wife Theresa, Shawn Hunt (FLPD) and his wife Josephine, Daniel Hunt, and Lauren Hunt (FLPD). Cherished grandfather of James, Vincent, Julia, Alexa, Kayla, and Dylan. James was the son of the late Alice (nee O'Hara) and James Hunt. He owned and operated the Hunt Funeral Home for more than 40 years. He was a member and past president of the Bergen County Funeral Directors Association. He served in the US Army from 1957-1959. He was a member of the Fort Lee Exempt Firemens Association, NJ State Honorary Life member Fort Lee PBA 245, former Chairman Fort Lee Parking Authority, former President Fort Lee Chamber of Commerce, former Fort Lee Civil Defense Director. He was a 40 year member of Fort Lee Fire Company No. 1 where he attained the rank of Captain and served as treasurer for many years. Funeral Friday 9AM from the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM Madonna Church on the Hill. Interment Madonna Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday 7-9PM and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9PM. Donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association or Engine Company No. 1 George Lautenschlager Memorial Fund.
