With deepest sorrow we announce that James Avraamides, age 27, passed away on January 16, 2021.
Jimmy was a loving son to his parents Alexis and Cheryl and an incredible brother to his dedicated sister Lucia.
He graduated from West Essex High School where he was captain of the wrestling team. In 2016 he received a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers University where he was a dedicated member of his fraternity Sigma Chi where he served his community and made amazing friendships. Jimmy was a Portfolio Analyst at NEPC in Las Vegas for two years, and then moved back to NJ in Hoboken working as a Portfolio Analyst for Crewcial Partners in New York City. In recent years, Jimmy had been working and studying long hours in pursuit of accreditation as a Certified Financial Analyst.
Jimmy was a talented musician, a self-taught guitarist, and was recently learning the cello. He cherished time at the lake with his nurturing mom. He loved grabbing a meal and chatting with his adoring dad about his plans and his future. Jimmy and his sister Lucia shared a love of fitness that motivates her every day. He loved snowboarding, dirt-biking, kayaking, martial arts, fishing, nature and Ace Ventura Pet Detective. He had a strong competitive spirit and an incredible smile. Jimmy was ambitious and always had a great sense of humor with an infectious laugh.
He is survived by his paternal grandmother Illeana Avraamides, his Aunt Sharon Sutton, Uncle Laurus Sutton, Uncle Paris Avraamides and Aunt Marie-Laur Legay. He will be missed by his cousins Lukas Avraamides, Phivos Avraamides, Steve Sutton, Giancarlo Sutton and Jennie Sutton. He will also be greatly missed by so many loyal friends and his beloved dog Nico.

When it is safe, in the future the family will have a large memorial in remembrance of the life of Jimmy.
