Polase, James J., of Lyndhurst, NJ on Wednesday, December 7, 2005. Beloved husband of 64 years of Helen N. Polase (nee Bubba Bello). Loving father of Linda Segal and Dorothea Oliver. Dear brother of Bettina Esposito. Cherished grandfather of Lisa and Joseph and great-grandfather of Brendan, Ava and Edan. Mr. Polase was employed as a supervisor with Peter J. Schweitzer & Sons for 30 years before retiring. He was a welter weight boxer (golden gloves) and a singer. He resided in Jersey City before moving to Lyndhurst 53 years ago. Funeral Monday 8am from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 9am at Sacred Heart RC Church, Lyndhurst. Interment in Hillside Cemetery. Friends will be received Sunday 2-6 pm. Donations may be made in his name to the St. Joseph's Home for Children, 1200 2nd Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN. 55403.
