James J Tomney

Tomney, James J., 85, of Lyndhurst, NJ passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Theresa (nee Dziekonski) Tomney. Loving father of James and his wife Cecilia Tomney, Eileen and her husband the late Charles Mullins, and Kathy Tomney. Devoted brother of the late Edward, Charles and Lawrence Tomney and Mary Mackintosh Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Tomney is a US Army veteran serving from 1946-1947. James worked for 38 years at Colgate in Jersey City before retiring. He was a member of the Colgate Retired Association, St. Michael's Leisure Club, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Seniors, American Legion Post 139, Knights of Columbus No. 2396 and the Lyndhurst AARP Club. Funeral Saturday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Michael's R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Michael's R.C.
