Jerome "Jerry" Micele

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jerome “Jerry” Micele, 84, on January 7, 2020. Son of Carmela and Salvatore Micele. Dear brother of the late Charles Micele. Cherished father of Kenneth Micele and his wife Lynn, Pamela Sclafane and her husband Glenn, Jeffrey Micele and his girlfriend Megan, and Beth Varano and her husband Christopher. Adored grandfather of Samantha, Melissa, Alexandra, Jodi, and Brianne. Survived by his former wife Deanna Micele, his sister-in-law Janet Micele, and her companion Peter. Jerry was born in Bayonne, New Jersey and was a graduate of Bayonne High School. He actively served in the United States Army from 1955-1957. Jerry was also an accomplished musician who played in iconic venues, such as the Copacabana and the Peppermint Lounge in New York City. He was employed by Western Electric before going into the restaurant business with his father and brother. As an enthusiastic horse race fan, Jerry retired from the Meadowlands Race Track in 1994. Friends and family will be received Friday, January 10, from 6-8 PM at the Caiola-Stellato Funeral Home, 691 Avenue C, Bayonne, New Jersey. A private cremation is to follow.
