John Daniel Mattie

John Daniel Mattie , 84, of Fairfield, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Beloved husband of Magdalene Shepherd. Loving father of Daniel Mattie, Kathleen Mattie, and AnnMarie LaBreck & her husband Daniel. Cherished grandfather of Sydney, Sophia, Matthew, & Abigail. Also survived by many loving cousins. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served as Parish Council President at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church in Fairfield and was also the President of the Columbian Club. He worked for Bristol Myers-Squibb/E.R. Squibb and Sons in Pharmaceutical Sales for 48.5-years before his retirement in 2013.
Funeral Saturday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis TN 38105-9959.
