John Digregorio

John DiGregorio (Giovanni), age 84, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Rosemarie (nee Agresti) and father of the late Laurie Anne. Born 11/1/1932 in S. Mauro Cilento, Salerno Italy, John came to the United States in 1960 and resided first in Jersey City and in Lyndhurst for 50 years. He proudly served in the Italian Army, worked for Swepco Tube Corp., Clifton for 40 years and part time for Inserra Supermarkets, (Shoprite, Lyndhurst) for 20 years. A parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst. John is survived by his cherished granddaughter Francesca. Also survived by his family, brother, Remigio DiGregorio & wife Nina, sister Clara & husband Pierino Carracino, brother Pasquale DiGregorio & wife Immacolta and dear sister-in-law Immacolta Agresti. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins & friends. A special thank you to his dedicated caregiver Andrea, who took excellent care of John. Predeceased by his sister Assunta & husband Bertino DiGregorio, sister Maria & husband Claudio Schiavo. Funeral service Saturday 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10 AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
