Dabal, John J., of Lyndhurst, NJ on Saturday, May 8, 2004. Beloved husband of the late Leocadia (nee Vanak). Loving father of Patricia Ann Coston of Lyndhurst and Noellarose Figueroa of Maywood. Dear brother of Helen LaVecchia. Cherished grandfather of Ernest John and Renee Patricia Figueroa, Karrie Lee and Karl John Coston. Mr. Dabal resided in Lyndhurst for 74 years and worked as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for 37 years before retirement. He was a volunteer fireman for the Lyndhurst Fire Department Truck Company #1. He belonged to the Garden Club, the Polish-American Club. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Seniors, St. Michael's Senior and the Mount Carmel Seniors, the AARP and the Lyndhurst Historical Society. He was also Director of the Wawel Savings & Loan of Wallington. Funeral Wednesday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 11 Gray Street, Newark. Friends will be received Monday 7-9PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9PM.
