John J. Snyder, Iii

John J. Snyder, III, age 55 of Brick, formerly of Lyndhurst, died on Monday January 9, 2006 at home. He was the beloved husband of 28 years to Maryrose Snyder (nee Strafaci) and a devoted father to the late John J. Snyder, IV. He is also survived by his father, John J. Snyder, Jr. and his brother, Richard Snyder. Mr. Snyder was a US Navy veteran during the Viet Nam War and served 1 1/2 years in the Phillipines. He worked for Verizon for 33 years, retiring in 2002 as a splicer. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #827 and the Lyndhurst VFW #3549. The funeral will be Friday, 9am from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home 425 Ridge Rd. Lyndhurst. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am at Sacred Heart RC Church, Ridge Rd., Lyndhurst. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, where Mr. Snyder will be laid to rest with his son, John J. Snyder, IV. Friends will be received Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9pm.
