John M. Fiore, Sr., 76, of Fairfield, New Jersey passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. Born in Newark on Auguest 30, 1947 to the late Filomina "Minnie" (nee Iannacone) and John Fiore. Beloved husband of the late Annette (nee Nappi) Fiore. Loving life partner of Toni Krug. Cherished father of John Fiore, Jr. Adored grandfather of John, Tyler, & Dylan. Dear brother of the late Dennis Fiore & his surviving wife Carol and the late Jean (nee Fiore) Papa. Nephew of Molly Cantalaupo. Devoted step-father of Don Krug, Tammy Kozcot, & Debbie Ferris. "Papa John" to Janelle, David, Danielle, DJ, Dilan, Tommy, Brandon, & Sophia. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Fiore served in the US Army Reserve. He was a Truck Driver for Consolidated Freightways for over 35 years before retiring and was part owner of Hollywood Deli in Fairfield from 1986-1992. His passion was watching his son and grandsons play sports, Atlantic City, and all things Frank Sinatra. He could often be found hanging with the guys and gals at Manhattan Bagel & Il Classico Deli. Funeral Wednesday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass Wednesday 10AM St. Thomas More Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
