John M. Fritz

John M. Fritz, 63, of North Bergen, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017.

He attended St. Annes Grammar School and Hudson Catholic High School in Jersey City.

John is predeceased in death by his parents, Marie and Peter Fritz, and his sister Patricia Trawinski. Surviving are his siblings Helen Gutter, Carol Ciasca, Gloria Franco, Arlene Chavarria, Peter Fritz (and his wife, Carol), and Teresa Weiler (and her husband, Tom). John also leaves behind 19 nieces and nephews, 21 grand-nieces and nephews, a host of additional beloved family members, and his loving girlfriend, Deb Sullivan.

John retired from Sysco Foods, Inc. after 20 years of employment. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, vacationing in Hawaii, listening to classic rock, and attending Bruce Springsteen and Clarence Clemons concerts.

John was a huge tennis fan who also faithfully cheered on the Jets, Mets, and Knicks. John, himself, had been known to shoot a few hoops around town during his lifetime, and he always kept a basketball in his car for this reason!

He leaves behind a void in the hearts and lives of all who knew and loved him.
