Lombardo, Sr., John V. , 77, of West Caldwell, NJ on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Beloved Husband of the late Antonina "Lee" (nee Anello). Loving Father of Leanne of West Caldwell, John V., Jr. of Newton, Anthony & his Wife Vinessa of Fairfield, and Paula Lombardo of West Caldwell. Dear Brother of Anthony R. Lombardo of San Diego, CA and the late Joseph Lombardo. Cherished Grandfather of Anthony Jr. and Jessica. Mr. Lombardo was the owner of Le John's Inc. Liquor and Gift Baskets in West Orange for 40 years before retiring in 1997. He was a graduate of Seton Hall Prep 1949 and Seton Hall University 1953 and was President of Seton Hall Prep Fathers Club 1979 and 1980. He received the Thomas A. Reynolds Memorial Award 1983, Msgr. Thomas G. Fahy Award 1988, Art Williams Service Award 1996 for his dedication and meritorius service to the Prep and was elected into Seton Hall Prep Hall of Fame 1990. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Funeral Saturday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. Friends will be received Friday 3-9 PM.
