Jose A. Toca, 74, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away on March 26, 2024, and joined with his loving parents Jose & Josefina. Husband of Nora. Beloved brother of Rosa & her husband Jose, and Carmen. Cherished uncle of Michael, Daniel & his wife Marcela, Jonathan and Julian. Granduncle of Michael and Matthew whom he adored and cherished. Also survived by his Godchildren, cousins and friends. He worked as a Line Supervisor and Spanish Translator for the Mount Carmel Guild Rehabilitation Training Center, as a volunteer at the South Beach Psychiatric Center and was very active at the Long Island University International Relations Club. After attending Long Island University, he worked for the Federal Government at the Social Security Administration for over three decades, where he also became the Handicap Coordinator Assistant Local Representative AFGE Local 2014 where he was very involved defending the rights of people with disabilities, employments discrimination and accommodation at the workplace. A life celebration for Jose will take place Wednesday, May 1st, 11AM-12PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Chapel service Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.
