It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Fatigante, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who left us on December 18, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on June 18, 1941, in Newark, NJ, Joseph brought immense joy and love to those around him during his lifetime.

Joseph dedicated his professional life to ensuring the safety of countless individuals as a Safety Inspector for the U.S. Post Office. His commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family, which he cherished above all else. A proud veteran of the Army, Joseph exemplified the values of service and commitment both in and out of uniform.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maryann Fatigante, and his children: daughter Katherine and her husband Dan Waldron, son Joseph Fatigante, Jr., and son Michael and his wife Caryn Fatigante. Joseph's legacy also includes his cherished grandchildren: Matthew and his wife Julia Waldron, Jason Waldron, Jacob and his wife Ashley Fatigante, Kailey Fatigante, and Nicholas Fatigante, as well as his delightful great-grandchild Lorenzo Waldron.

“Joe” was a person of many talents, handyman, chef, hot pepper connoisseur, rare coin collector, and avid golfer. Cooking and baking were his passion, his famous cheesecake often being the highlight of gatherings and celebrations. Beyond his culinary prowess, Joe was a thoughtful soul, always considering the needs and feelings of those around him. His thoughtfulness extended beyond words, manifested in the little things he did to brighten the days of others. Joe's legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched with his kindness, his culinary delights, and his unwavering support. His life was a testament to the beauty of simple pleasures and the profound impact of a thoughtful heart.

Visitation will be held at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, on Saturday, December 21, 1-5 PM. Cremation private.

As we grieve the loss of this extraordinary man, we celebrate the bright light he brought into our lives. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
