Joseph "Hoxie" Petrillo, 101, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Orefice) Petrillo. Loving father of Elena Mahoney & her husband the late Thomas and Cheryl Gash & her husband the late John. Cherished grandfather of Lauren Keogh & her husband Dan. Adored great-grandfather of Dylan & Ryan. Dear brother of Ann Servideo. Joseph was a Navy Veteran serving during World War II. He was one of the founding members of the Amvets, Post 20, Lyndhurst. Before retiring he worked for the Lyndhurst Board of Education for over 20 years. He volunteered for many years as a coach and umpire for Lyndhurst Little League and girls softball. Funeral Friday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Ceremony 10AM. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Thursday 4-8PM.
