Joseph J. Maida, 88, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Margaret Maida (nee Marley). Loving father of Diane Malinchak & her husband Robert, Joseph Maida & his wife Mary, Margaret Cooke & her husband Dennis and Josephine Abate & her husband James. Dear brother of Lilliana Maida, Vincent Maida and the late Jenny Lipari. Cherished grandfather of Dennis, Jeannine, John, Deanna, Scott, Jimmy, Erica, Kristen, Sean and Hannah. Adored great-grandfather of nine. Best friend of Joe Cosma. Mr. Maida was a member of the Rotary Club in North Arlington and the Knights of Columbus, East End Democratic Club, AARP, and Lyndhurst Civil Defense all of Lyndhurst. Funeral Friday at 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10 AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
