Joseph Michael Tavares, 20, of Fairfield, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Beloved son of Joseph C. & Christine Marie (nee Volpe) Tavares. Loving brother of Nicole Marie Tavares. Cherished grandson of maternal grandparents George & Grace Volpe and paternal grandparents Carlos & Maria Tavares. Dear nephew of Maria & her husband Fernando Narciso, Mark & his wife Sandy Volpe, and George & his wife Evelyn Volpe. Devoted cousin of Cathy & John Bernardo, and Stephanie Narciso. Joey was a shining light in all the lives he touched. He never failed to make everyone laugh and always had a hand ready to lend to anyone in need. Joey lived his life to the fullest with friends and driving cars with his dad, especially his Evo. As Joey always said, he was "making memories". Joey will be tremendously missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. Funeral Thursday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield.
