Joseph N. D'Amore

Joseph N.D'Amore, 88, of Lyndhurst, passed away on July 18, 2021. Beloved husband of Mary DAmore (nee Lynahan). Loving father of Susan Marfino and her husband Daniel Jr., Linda Stevens and her husband Kevin, Joseph D'Amore and his wife Tara, Nancy Choffo and her husband Andy, and Gina Liakakos. Adored grandfather of Daniel Marfino, Cherilyn Mulawka, Kevin Stevens, Kristen Wright, Matthew Stevens, Stephanie Choffo, Shannon D'Amore, Cheyenne Ford, Michael Stevens, A.J. Choffo, Anthony Ford, Natalie D'Amore, and Louis Liakakos. Cherished great-grandfather of Avery Marfino, Paityn Mulawka, Luke Wright, Henry Stevens, Jake Marfino, Rylee Mulawka, and Amara D'Amore. Dear brother of Mildred Kazalunas and Thomas D'Amore and the late Casey D'Amore, Helen Hassa, Louis D'Amore, Rose Crouch, Sue Skelley, Madeline D'Amore, Nancy Eckert, Dominick D'Amore, and Betty D'Amore. Also predeceased by his loving parents, Nancy (nee Bisogona) and Dominick D'Amore, and mother-in-law Mary Lynahan. Joseph was the Owner of J&J Industrial Supply Inc. in Nutley, New Jersey. He was a Veteran who served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 during the Korean War where he played drums in 3rd army band. He has played drums since 17 years old and was a musician with Victorians, Hollywood Playboys, Trade Martin Band and many others. Joseph was a member of the Masons Order Azure Masonic Lodge in Cranford, NJ, the Scottish Rite 32 degree in Lincoln Park, NJ, the Salaam Shriners, Livingston, NJ, where he played in the string band, and the Rotary International of Belleville, NJ for 18 years. At the Rotary International he was President for 10 years and 2 years as Assistant Governor. Funeral Friday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Thursday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave, New York, NY 10001.
