Joseph Pollio, 85, of Lyndhurst, NJ passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday March 15, 2025. Loving husband of Paula Pollio (nee Bonacarti). Beloved father of Joseph Pollio & his wife Irene, Doreen Shepard, Jodi Pollio, Michael Pollio & his wife Florence, Robert Pollio and his wife the late Gina. Adored grandfather of Joseph Pollio & his wife Laura, Ryan Gunderson, Jessica Athay & her husband Cameron, Nicole Sweedy & her husband Greg, Jenna Brenneman & her husband Andrew, Michael Pollio & his wife Amanda, Kyle Pollio, Megan & Tom Bunz, Amanda & Tom Newman. Cherished great-grandfather of Joseph, Brandon, Christopher, Reya, Logan, Carmela, Thomas, Evelyn, Abigail, Wesley, and Bradley. Dear brother of Pasquale (Bunky) Pollio and brother-in-law of Anthony Bonacarti & his wife Sharon. Treasured uncle of David Bonacarti and his wife Jocelyn, and the late Patricia Pollio and Anthony Bonacarti. Joe was an Owner and Trainer for JP Racing Stables where he trained and raced standardbred horses. Visitation Thursday from 4PM-8PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst. Funeral Friday 9AM at the funeral home with a 10AM Mass at Sacred Heart, Lyndhurst. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
