D'Apuzzo, Josephine (nee Russo), 96, of Fairfield, New Jersey passed away on Friday Sept. 16th, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Louis D'Apuzzo. Loving mother of Steven & his wife Celia D'Apuzzo, Lois & her husband Michael Hammer, and the late Richard D'Apuzzo & his surviving spouse JoAnn. Cherished grandmother of Richard Jr. & Paula D'Apuzzo, Steven Jr. & Susan D'Apuzzo, Melissa & Frank Mirable, Teddy & Anna D'Apuzzo, Lauren D'Apuzzo, Danny D'Apuzzo, Jennifer Hammer, and Christina Hammer. Adored great-grandmother of Stephanie & Juliana Mirabile, Richard III & Isabella D'Apuzzo, Brianna D'Apuzzo, and Evie D'Apuzzo. Dear sister Marion Faillace and the late Anita Superti. Mrs. D'Apuzzo was an active parishioner of St. Thomas More Church, taught CCD, and former President of the Rosary Society. Josephine was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at Chilton Hospital. She was also the President of the Golden Agers for many years and worked for the election. Josephine loved to crochet, knit, bake, and spend time with her family and was known for her "Secret Lemon Cake". She loved to read and was an avid Hallmark Channel watcher. Friends will be received Wednesday 8:30-10:30AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass to follow at 11AM St. Thomas More Church.
