Josephine “J” Sinclair (nee Bailey); when you look at your mother, youre looking at the purest love you will ever know. "J" completed her life of devotion and service to her family, friends and community when she transitioned peacefully into God's loving care. "J" slight in stature, blessed with a heart of gold, a will of steel and equipped with a razor-sharp mind, enjoyed every day of her 99 years.
Born to Joseph and Julia Bailey on February 12, 1918, she was the child of WWI and the Great Depression. She attended Madonna School, worked in the collar and cuff factory and overcame major health issues.
"J" is survived by her loving daughter, Marie Chiappane of Fort Lee, NJ; by her devoted son, Howard Sinclair and his wife Priscilla of Manahawkin, NJ. "J" is preceded in death by her husband Frank, mother Julia, father Joseph; and brothers & sister, Sylvester, Joseph, Herbert Bailey & Julia Betz. "J" 's grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She remembered Deborah O'Prandy and her late husband Donald; the late Richard Chiappane and spouse Lynn; William Chiappane; Jennifer Chiappane-Marion and spouse John; and Bruce, Kevin and Kimberly Sinclair. She loved her great-grandchildren Melissa Hutchinson, Matthew Chiapane, Candice Karch, Chad Klotzkin & Nicholas Sinclair. She was blessed with 4 great-great-grandchildren Kyla, Lyric, Satin and Clay. Beloved aunt and cousin.
May you rest in peace after a long and rich life lived so very well. No one could have been blessed with a better mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
Funeral service Thursday 10AM from the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee. Funeral Mass 11AM Madonna Church on the Hill (Jones Road). Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Friends will be received Wednesday 4-8PM. Donations in memory of Josephine “J” Sinclair to the charity of your choice.
