Kathryn Frances Mcdonnell

McDonnell, Kathryn Frances, 89, of Lincoln Park, NJ formerly resided in Lyndhurst, NJ and Bridgeport CT. Born in Hoboken, NJ to Anna E. (nee Whalen) and Patrick J. McDonnell. Loving sister of the late John P. and Edward J. McDonnell. Beloved Aunt of Ruth Atwell Vitale, dearly loved by Donald Worsham, niece Kathryn McDonnell Edel and husband Raymond, great niece Paulina Marie Edel and nephew John McDonnell and wife Barbara. A graduate of Lyndhurst High School, class of 1942, Miss McDonnell entered the business world at age 18. Over the years she held positions of responsibility such as executive secretary at Leslie Co. and Purdy Co. Lyndhurst; administrative assistant to the Vice President of MacMillan/McGraw Hill Publishing, NYC and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Ketchum and Co., NYC where she worked for 18 years until her retirement. She was an avid reader knowledgeable is so many areas. She greatly enjoyed music, especially classical and opera. Kathryn had a beautiful signing voice and in her youth was a member of a local community theater group. Other interests included photography, sewing, crocheting, and gardening. Funeral Friday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Lincoln Park. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
