Kenneth E. Grieco

Kenneth E. Grieco, 83, of Fairfield, New Jersey, went home to the Lord surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 16. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Rosemarie, as well as 9 brothers and sisters. Devoted father of Ken & his wife Karen Grieco, Terry & her husband Tom Kenny, Joanne & her late husband Ron Pierson, Michele & her late husband Thor Jorgensen, the late Mark Grieco, Joseph & his wife Pamela Grieco and Gina & her husband Dr. Derek Noonan. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Grieco. He was the cherished grandfather of Ron Erik, Gabrielle, Nigel, Jack, Rebecca, Melissa, Kate, Mark, Luke and Chloe. Kenneth was a proud Marine who served as a Sergeant in the Korean War. He was active in the VFW in Fairfield for 20 years, serving many roles including Senior Vice Commander. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Kenneth took pride in his career as a Mathematics Teacher at Nutley High School for 40 years. While teaching and raising 7 children, he obtained advanced degrees in higher mathematics. He shared a great love and devotion to the church with his wife Rosemarie, volunteering as a altar server and attending daily mass for many years. He had a great sense of humor and was loved and respected by all who knew him. Funeral Thursday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday 4-8PM.
