Kenneth Heinbockel, a beloved lifelong resident of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on February 21, 1959, in Jersey City, NJ, Kenneth was a vibrant spirit whose passion for life touched all who knew him.
Kenneth was a proud Eagle Scout and served as an altar server at St. Michael's Church, showcasing his commitment to community and faith from a young age. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree at NJIT in electrical engineering and dedicated his professional life to Wells Fargo Bank, where he built lasting relationships with both colleagues and clients.
An avid motorcyclist, fisherman, and camper, Kenneth cherished the great outdoors. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time at the beach and shore. His adventurous spirit inspired many, and his hobbies brought him closer to friends and family alike. He was particularly devoted to his nieces and nephews, creating cherished memories by taking them out for special birthday outings, trips to the circus, and fun shopping experiences, ensuring each child felt loved and celebrated.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved sisters, Jane and her husband John Cusmano, and Marilyn and her husband Robert Loftus; his brothers, Mark and his wife Gail Heinbockel, and Matthew and his wife Bethann Heinbockel; and a host of cherished nieces and nephews: John Cusmano, Christopher Cusmano, Megan Dwyer (nee Loftus) and her husband Justin Dwyer and their child Nathan Dwyer, Daniel Loftus, Casey Loftus, Lacey Heinbockel, Connor Heinbockel, Zachary Heinbockel, Luke Heinbockel, and Noah Heinbockel. He is also survived by multiple cherished cousins and dear friends.
Kenneth's warm heart, kindness, and zest for life will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love and adventure will live on through his family and friends.
A celebration of Kenneth's life will be held on Thursday, February 6th, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pm in Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst NJ, with family and friends invited to join in honoring his memory. A Mass will take place on Friday, February 7th, 2025 at 10am at St. Michael's Church, followed by an interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
