Kenneth Myron, 84, of Fairfield, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday April 3, 2019. Beloved husband of Edith (nee Glerum) Myron. Loving father of Ken Myron and Tammie Roe. Cherished grandfather of Lauren & Tristyn. Adored great-grandfather of Brynn & Nora. Dear brother of George Myron. Mr. Myron served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1954-1956. He was a member of the Fairfield Reformed Church where he served as a Deacon. Ken was a member of the Fairfield Fire Department for 55 years and held multiple positions within the department. He was instrumental in getting the FFFD antique fire truck renovated and on the road. He taught small engine repair as a 4-H club leader. Ken worked for Exxon-Mobil for 37 years where he began his career as a Diesel Mechanic and then went on to become a Tanker Driver. After his retirement, he was proud to work by his son's side, assisting him with his plumbing business. Ken was a member of the Fairfield Sportsman's Club and enjoyed all outdoor activities including fishing, snowmobiling, and hunting. A celebration of life service Monday 10AM at the Fairfield Reformed Church. Interment Fairfield Reformed Church Cemetery. Friends will be received Sunday 2-6PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield.
