Konstantin D Gadgev

April 23, 1933 — May 7, 2007

Gadgev, Konstantin D, of Montville, NJ on May 7, 2007. Beloved husband of Gail (nee Arthurs). Loving father of Mitko Gadgev and Totka Hristov. Dear brother of Tonka Kalvacheva, Gospodin and the late Georgi Gadgev. Cherished grandfather of Konstantin and Elaine Hristov, Paris and Malaina Gadgev. Also survived by his former wife and friend Penka Gadgeva and brother-in-law Dave Arthurs and several devoted nieces and nephews. Funeral Thursday 11 AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Entombment Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
A native of Bulgaria, Konstantin came to the US in the early 70's. He was employed at Nabisco in Fair Lawn for 20 years, retiring in 1997. He and his wife, Gail, settled in Montville in 1996. He could be seen tending to his garden, at the pool with his family or strolling in his neighborhood. He was an avid golf and soccer fan. He enjoyed watching games on TV with his loyal pet Mandy. Konstantin also enjoyed playing cards with his Longview buddies as well as his friends at the Montville Senior House. He and Gail enjoyed visiting the local casinos. He loved America and became a US citizen, but never forgot his family and friends in Bulgaria. He visited them whenever he could. In an effort to improve their quality of life, he made many generous contributions to those in need. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made in his name to continue his charitable acts. These contributions will be sent to a facility that houses and cares for the handicapped in his hometown of Stara Zagora. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Konstantin will be deeply missed by many family and friends both here and in his homeland of Bulgaria.
