Lena Mastrangelo

Mastrangelo, Lena, age 101, on May 31, 2003 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Paterson. Lena was born in New York City and lived there until moving to Fairfield 30 years ago.Lena was a seamstress many years and a member of the ILGWU in New York City. She was a member of the Rosary Society and Legion of Mary of St. Thomas More RC Church in Fairfield where she also taught CCD. She cooked the St. Joseph's Dinner at St. Thomas More annually. When she was in her 90s she volunteered at a soup kitchen in Newark. Surviving are three sons Dennis of Fairfield, and Peter and Attilio of Oak Ridge, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Ralph and Anthony Bonelli, and three sisters Sr. Antoinette Bonelli, Marie Bonelli and Vincenzina Caldi all of Italy. Funeral Tuesday June 3 at 9am from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home 7 Two Bridges Rd. Fairfield with a mass to follow at St. Thomas More RC Church at 10am. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
