Leona J. Chilek

Leona "Lee" Jean Chilek (nee MacDonald), passed away peacefully at home after a long illness. She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, George F. Chilek and 5 of her 8 siblings: Marie Parry, Rosalie Cummings, Geraldine Wilson, Eleanor Wirth and Joan Smerdon. She leaves two daughters, Eileen Chilek Wilder (husband Stephen) and Patricia Chilek (fiance Robert Crevaux) plus sisters Agnes Cunningham, Lois Dills, brother William MacDonald, Jr. (Ann MacDonald) and many nieces and nephews. Leona was born in Avoca, PA and graduated from Avoca High School. She retired some years ago from Browns Letters. She was a long time member of Mt. Carmel Church Choir and their other organizations, plus both Lyndhurst senior citizen groups. Lee enjoyed her family, dancing and going to Atlantic City with her long time friend Jean Lacidonia. Funeral service Friday 8:30AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 9:30AM Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Thursday 7-9PM.
