Leon will be remembered as a Loving Husband, Devoted Father & Proud Grandfather.
He was a Lifetime Florist, Decorated World War 2 Army Veteran, Coast Guard Auxiliary Commander, Member of Ahepa Eureka Chapter & American Legion.
Leon Passed away November 11, 2019 Veterans Day in West Palm Beach.
He lived his life to the fullest for 99 years, just shy of his 100th Birthday.
Leon was born in Newark, NJ to the late William H. Zois & Athena (Settos) Zois.
He was predeceased by his Parents, his sister Tina Skokos, and his brother Spiro Zois.
He is survived by the love of his life, Bessie (Chucales) Zois, who he married September 22, 1956.
Together they raised four children, Peggy & William Capko, Athena Zois & her friend Alan, William L. Zois and Anthony L. Zois.
Leon was so happy to spend time with his Grandchildren, Anthony & Jade Bertolino, Elizabeth & Stephanie Ohanyan, William L. Zois, Jr., Gianna & Maria Zois.
Leon, Bess and Family enjoyed summers at Star Lake, NY in the Adirondacks & was a West Palm Beach snowbird.
Although he was a hard worker, Leon loved large family gatherings & parties, he loved to travel. Leon was always the man behind the camera, taking pictures of every event & place.
Everywhere he went, he made lifelong friends, too many to mention, and was admired for his loyal friendship, generosity & understanding.
Leon owned the Washington Florist, Newark, NJ - A Family business started in 1906 by his Father William.
He was a gentle soul who will be greatly missed by all who had the fortune of knowing him.
God Blessed Leon & our family with a wonderful life.

Funeral Service: Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at 9:30 A.M. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church located at 818 Valley Rd, Clifton, NJ 07013
Interment: Hollywood Memorial Park And Mausoleum Cemetery located at 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ 07083
