Lorenzo A. Cafasso

Lorenzo A. Cafasso 85, of Emerson, New Jersey, formerly of Palisades Park, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017. Beloved husband of Guiseppina Cafasso (nee DeFazio). Loving father of Frank & his wife Lori and Lorenzo & his wife Rosaria. Adored grandfather of Ashley, Jacqueline, Anthony, Lorenzo, Michela & Joseph. Dear brother-in-law of Dominick & his wife Cristina Chiola and sister-in-law Victoria Ainello & family. Cherished uncle of Tino Chiola and Olga DelGiudice. He was beloved by many friends and family both in the U.S. and in Italy. Before emigrating to the United States in 1955, Mr. Cafasso was a Carabinieri in Italy. He was an avid gardener, colorful storyteller, and devoted Italian soccer fan. He loved holidays and spending time with his family. Funeral will be Friday 9AM departing from the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee. Funeral Mass will be 10AM at St. Nicholas R.C. Church, Palisades Park. Entombment Madonna Mausoleum. Friends will be received Thursday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
